Cloudockit’s Email Distribution Improvements

In Cloudockit’s latest release, version 4.6, the team has made multiple improvements and distribution changes to the emails of your reports that are automatically sent by Cloudockit.

Dynamic Distribution of Your Emails

With Cloudockit, you can now automatically send your emails to specific roles in your Azure Subscriptions, GCP Projects, or AWS Accounts Groups.

The new feature makes it easier to distribute your emails to all of your subscription owners, as seen in the example to the right. The setting is dynamic; if at some point a new owner is added to the subscription, they will automatically receive the email of your next document generation.

This feature works the same way in Azure and Google Cloud, where roles are used. For AWS, you can specify groups.

You will be able to specify more than one Group or Role in the list if, for instance, you want both Azure subscription owners and contributors to receive the emails.

This feature is an essential option for the Cloudockit Optimal Setup since you can ensure the documents are automatically sent to the appropriate person who owns the different environments.

Choose Your Email Title Subject

You can easily specify the subject in the title of each email. This allows you to be more specific and to adapt your message with your customer’s name.

The subject can also use dynamic variables:

    • {{EnvironmentName}}
    • {{EnvironmentNameAndId}}
    • {{GenerationDate}}
    • {{NewIssuesDetected}}

Please contact us if you need more variables.

New Design and Support for Dark and Light Mode

Cloudockit improved the layout and design of the email to include more information like trends and compliance issues.

The emails are now also compatible with both dark and light modes.

Trend Detection

When you specify which Storage Account or Bucket you want your documents dropped in, Cloudockit will now automatically use that information to detect trends. These trends will be provided in the emails in addition to the documentation.

The following trend information will be given:

    • Number of components added or deleted per category
    • List of components that have been changed, deleted, or added
    • New or fixed compliance rule issues

This feature will easily allow you to quickly see if you have new compliance rules issues or if unwanted components have been added to your cloud.
